Diagnostic laparoscopy

FINALLY getting my diagnostic laparoscopy on the 17th of October!! It’s a bittersweet feeling cause on one hand I’m SO happy that I’m finally getting sorted but on the other... I’m so ******* terrified! So scared of what they will find and so scared that they won’t find anything. The thought of having to start over is just... heartbreaking. Anyways, I’m going to try and not get into my head too much. So here’s to hoping that they find something! (Not too much though) x

Really pleased for you that you’ve got a date. Hopefully you get some relief and the answers you need.

I’m waiting for MRI results before a date is set and I’m getting nervous for all the same reasons.

It’s such a weird thought process we have to go through, almost hoping it is endo just so we can validate all of our horrible symptoms and hope to find some answers.

I wish you a speedy recovery whatever they do or find. And hope it’s all good health for you from then on 😊 xx

I had my first lap 3 days ago and felt exactly the same as you. But it's nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. I was really worried that they wouldn't find anything (which sounds strange) but I figured even if they don't at least that's ruled out. Just make sure you ask them all the questions you have and are 100% clear on what's happening before you go home.

Recovery wise, peppermint oil capsules, activated charcoal and a wedge pillow have been my best friends over the last few days!!
