Anyone diagnosed with a haematosalpinx?

Hi, I’ve had endo for for 25 years and seem to have found a treatment/lifestyle that I’m happy with. To cut a very long story short, I was on Prostap for 2 years (previously on and off on Zoladex for two years). 6 months ago I started to get mild period-type symptoms, so my Dr agreed to put me back on Zoladex (with the approval of my BSGE consultant). I have a history of very persistent chocolate cysts as well.

I’ve just had a trans-vaginal scan that revealed a haematosalpinx (blood) in my remaining right Fallopian tube. Before, they thought the tube was full of liquid (hydrosalpinx) and I didn’t think too much of it as I was more concerned with the two lovely chocolate cysts that seemed to have appeared again. Now... hmmm!

I’m not in pain (yet?) and we’ve decided to monitor it and have another scan in 6 months. If needed, I plan to go back to my BSGE consultant.

Has anyone been diagnosed with a haematosalpinx and what was your experience?

Thanks!

Hello Moonglo. I'm in the same situation as you. Henatosalpinx and cysts. Did you go in for a lap? And what size was your cyst?
