Mirena coil

Hey ladies,

After taking the advice of my gynaecologist of trying the mirena out before we go down the operation route, I went today to have it fitted!

After three attempts and re positioning my gp said that it was not going to be successful and that she literally couldn’t even measure my womb!

Has anyone else had this?

The coil was the last thing to try before operation was my only option

When I had mine fitted she said if my cervix was to clamp down then she wouldn’t be able to fit it and that they could try again another time. It was so painful though! She managed to fit it for me, but did they say they would try again?

She said normally she would suggest coming back and trying again but said she honestly thinks it’s not possible as my womb is very high??
