Hi, my wife had been previously told she has Endometriosis. At a scan today she was told it was very extensive and was also in the bowel too. She has to have an urgent biopsy. I am rather worried

Worried husband
Can anyone other any reassurance? Are biopsy a standard approach in this situation?
I don't have much experience or knowledge about this however I wanted to send some support. Please try not to worry until you know more information, they need to know what they are dealing with before it can be safely removed. Endo can only be officially diagnosed during a laparoscopy so it sounds like they want to have a look asap and try and remove as much as possible. Write down any questions or concerns you have an take them to the appointments if you go with her. Most of all please don't worry at the moment, Just be the support she needs. Sorry I can't give more specific info ! Hope all goes well for her.
Hey, I had biopsies during my lap as I had ovarian cysts and endo around that area. I think it’s just standard procedure to see if it’s benign (think I spelt that right) or not.
Try not to worry, if it was urgent or anything, they would have said straight away. Just be there for her and supportive. She’s lucky to have an understanding/ caring husband
