Just got back from my first pain clinic appointment. I’ve never ever ever been so happy to walk out of an appointment in all my life knowing that there is hope. The consultant asked me a wide range of questions and said it’s not normal for a 20 year old girl to be in this much pain (FINALLY SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS)!!!!! He also said the referral letter was so basic and he felt like the gynae was fobbing me off out of their care. After all the questions he examined me and pressed onto different areas in my pelvis/groin. Straight away he said I have got osteitis pubis. Whether it’s to do with endo or not I don’t know but finally a bit of hope. He’s booked me in to get steroid injections under local anaesthetic into both sides of my pelvis/groin and if it doesn’t feel better after 3 treatments he will then refer me to physio. But 8 in 10 women feel better after the injections. I can’t wait to get them started and hopefully have at least a few years pain free 😊😊😊😊😊
