For pain management I'd suggest that you look into accupunture magnets and use them on the points LI4, Lv3, Sp6, Sp9 and Bl60. You can look these up on the internet. (There are two different ways of numbering the bladder channel points, BL60 is the one on the ankle). Bl60 and LI4 can't be used during pregnancy. The magnets just stick on, they don't go into the skin and they can be re-used if you clean them and stick them on micropore tape.
I would also suggest that you slowly reduce your carbs and use fat for energy instead. It will help your diabetes but also cutting out carbs (you'll need to do it gradually because of your diabetes) will kill off Candida which often goes hand in hand with endometrosis because they help each other along. I did a post on the subject a while back so if you search for Candida you should find it.
Not sure what meds youāre taking but there are quite a few options your Doctors should be able to help you with. Non medicine I use tiger balm, okay it smells a little (I quite like it š) but itās so so handy when youāre out and about and need something quickly. I put on a disposable plastic glove so the smell doesnāt linger on my hands too! X
Hi Natalie
Iāve never had a laparoscopy, I was diagnosed by ultrasound and MRI, endometriosis all over the bowel, chocolate cysts pulling my rectum out of shape (going to the loo is pure hell), rectovaginal fistula and an ovarian cysts so big theyāve never seen my left ovary, the cyst is bigger than my uterus.
Iām a type 2 diabetic and over the last couple of years my hba1c has come back higher and higher each time even though my Metformin has been increased and Iāve had to add another tablet for it too.
When I last saw my gp he said that they may not do my surgery because of this but Iām wondering if the endometriosis is having an effect on my pancreas and thatās messing my blood sugar.
The reason behind my thinking being that apart from the endo pain and toilet struggles my biggest problem is a big bulge just below my left breast, it fills and blows up when I havenāt been to the loo in ages/weeks and thatās where your pancreas and intestines are.
I seriously hope that it doesnāt delay my surgery or I will scream- Iām having a full hysterectomy and endo removal but they are waiting on my latest mri report (was done in May) as they only have the images to decide when I need more colorectal surgery and a stoma.
I hope that you are soon sorted, they will have to do something for you.
Pain relief- have you had the morphine patch?
Keep me posted!
Cath xx
Hey thanks for replying! That sounds awful Iām so sorry your having such a bad time and I really do hope u manage to get sorted soon!! My last Hba1c was higher than the one before I was mortified but tbh I am struggling with taking insulin so in a way itās my own fault aswell as mental health all 3 arenāt helping at all right now. Iām type 1 tbh Iām 24 next week and only got diagnosed 2 years ago and in all honesty I still donāt understand half of it! I know that weight loss can lower Hba1c and eating better but I just binge on chocolate because I give up easily with it, plus pain makes my sugars a lot worse š I had first lap in 2014 no one believed I had endo but a small amount was found in pod symptom free up until the last year and a half irregular periods etc I had MRI but nothing showed but I refused the dye because of my anxiety hahaha Iām just so fed up with it all!! Make sure you keep me posted too take care xx
I will keep you updated Natalie- to be honest Iād try (I know itās hard) and give up the sugar/chocolate for a while. Not only will it lower your hba1c but I really think that the endo pain eased when I stopped eating it, Iām not saying it stopped but it did feel easier.
Give it a go- youāre worth so much more than a bit of sugar! Xx
Ps Iām 50 (arghhhh) later this year with 3 children 25-29 so the hysterectomy itself doesnāt worry me the same as it would for someone younger xx
I will try itās just so annoying when youāve taken insulin an you didnāt take the right amount an your sugars high anyway so I get all moody an down a dairy milk hahahaha yeah at least youāve had your children hopefully you can find a way to get your Hba1c down too so you can have your surgery! Fingers crossed for us both šš¬š¤š» Xxx
