My name's Hannah and I'm about to turn 20 this week.
I had a laparoscopy 2 months ago during which they diagnosed endometriosis. I was seen by a specialist centre and a specialist surgeon so I genuinely believe he knew what he was doing. I also had the coil put in during the surgery.
However, 2 months on and the old symptoms are just gradually creeping their way back in. I'm in the middle of a terrible period in which I have been unable to leavethe house for 3 days due to bleeding and pain. I'm still feeling extreme exhaustion which is limiting what I can get up and do. I am in pain most days again.
I have aslo completely changed my diet.
I work in a Complex Needs School and I am due back to work next week. I have no idea how I am going to cope.
So now I ask, what now? Where do I go from here? Is there anything else I can try or ask for the doctors to look into?
Thanks everyone

Hello, I’m waiting for my lap and can sympathise with your symptoms, especially as I work in an SEN school too, I know how stressful it can be without this on top of it. I have the mirena and the only symptom it has helped me with is the bleeding but for lots of ladies on here it has caused pain and bleeding-perhaps it does not suit you. They will probs ask you to try it for at least 6 months. I would definitely go back to the doctors though, there are lots of different pain medications and hormones to try to try and help you manage it before you get to the gyne n, don’t suffer in silence. Good luck xxx
