Hi I am awaiting a laparoscopy for Endo but my gynaecologist has already diagnosed me due to having 2 endometriomas on my ovaries. I’m just wondering if anyone has the same problem as me after a flare up? When it hits me I’m in agony for 1-2 hours, can’t move, walk, anything as it feels like my insides are being ripped apart! But for the few days after I feel so battered and bruised and very inflamed inside, does anyone else feel this? I struggle to walk standing up right as it feels as though I am pulling something inside me if I do and I have to wait a few days for it to all loosen and go back to normal. I was thinking maybe it’s the stomach muscles from tensing so much during the flare up but I just don’t know!

Pain after flare up
I had the same thing due to a chocolate cyst on my left ovary. Had to wait for what felt like a long time for a lap- the full 18 week wait to the day as my hospital wanted to meet their targets! Had two bouts of severe pain as you are describing during the wait. The pain went away after 3-4 hours but having researched it now I would have gone to Gyno Emergency to get it checked out when in acute pain to make sure it’s not ovarian torsion or a ruptured cyst. It turned out to be none of those things, and I don’t want to scare you but severe pain should always be checked out at the time with cysts. I waited till the next day and went to my GP who unfortunately didn’t have a clue. I didn’t even know there was a Gyno emergencies department at the hospital until recently. Good luck with your lap
I have the exact same symptoms from my chocolate cyst too that's on my left ovary! I ended up in a&e with suspected ovarian torsion but turns out its "just" the cyst causing the pain.
Mine is almost 6cm so not huge according to dr's.
Have you had surgery yet? X
