So a bit of a weird one but my period finished over the weekend and Monday I started with a odd stinging/burning sensation around my urethra opening even when im not urinating and it is quite uncomfortable. I then started with light cramps across my whole pelvic area and a sharpish pain in my bladder and around my urethra opening especially when urinating and also feeling like I need to urinate a lot.
I went to the walk in on Wednesday and my urine was completely clear with no signs of infection however because of my symptoms they've given me antibiotics anyway and apart from the pain and stinging occasionally dissapearing for a couple of hours a day nothing has changed and i'm still having cramps. Any other ladies experienced anything like this before?
I'll also add i've previously had endo on my bladder so I'm used the pain however this lingering stinging/burning is a new one.

I had this. I think it was interstitial-cystitis for me. It was bad enough that it triggered the discovery of my recto vaginal endo lump and in lap I was found to have 2 very small endo plaques on bladder. Theres a lot of info on ic-help website
Luckily for me the following worked to stop the burning: antihistamines to take the edge off burning plus changing shamppo and toiletries to avoid sles and parabens (kind natured brand is relatively good value online vs supermarket neals yeard etc) and not using anything in the area at all. I also went over to organic towels and was more careful about wiping.
I still had a touch of frequency which was better after excision.
If there is no infection shown your surgery really should not be doling out antibiotics given the issues with resistance. It wont help endo or ic, mucks up your immune system and just makes them less likely to work if you ever do really need them.
Thanks for your replies! Ive noticed past couple of days with the cramping pain that it makes me feel like I need to wee more and shooting pains down my urethra, seems to be related in some way. Finished the course of anti biotics just incase and it has made zero difference so its definitely not an infection.
I use a feminine wash already however very interested in organic towels and have been researching this as normal towels make me very itchy. I also noticed whilst wearing a tampon during my last period (for yoga) it made me feel like I needed to pee constantly also had a pressure feeling like someone was pressing on my uterus? Very strange.
I think I need to get in touch with my consultant.
I had this for two years, which were accompanied with vaginal and pelvic spasms. I got diagnosed with vulvodynia prior to endo. I believe the incidence of this is higher in the endo group, I suspect I have some bladder endo.
Buscopan sometimes helps to ease the spasms.
I get the same symptoms at diff points in my cycle especially before a period.
I used to have to do a dip stick to work out whether a uti or vulvodynia flare as presents the same xx
