Has anyone tried Jamaican Dogwood for pain/nerve pain/bladder issues and sleep? I was prescribed amitriptyline for these things and it really worked! amazing difference!
....but even once I adjusted to feeling mildly sedated the whole time, it was really noticeably impacting on my memory recall. As it is one of the drugs now linked to Alzheimer's I thought it best to avoid. According to the Times paper it is a risk after even a relatively short spell on it as it interferes with the acetylcholine receptors in the brain.
Jamaican Dogwood seems to tick same boxes but I dont know of anyone using it as its not a mainstream herb....
