Hi ladies, I've just seen my consultant three months since laparoscopy. He has suggested trying Zoladex injections for three months. Has anyone tried this and how did you get on , did it help. I am 45 years old and have completed my family. I am scared of the drug mimicking the menopause and the side effects. Thank you in advance.xxx

Afternoon ..
I am currently on Zoladex for six months and have so far had 3 injections.
Some of the side effects I have had so far-
Hot flushes
Headache/migraines (but that was only for a few days 2 weeks after the first injection)
Memory fuzzy
Joint achy (but I have been taking an extra calcium vitamin to help with joints)
No bleeding *since having the injection*
Itchy
(Not saying all of the above is 24/7 - I don’t think the side effects have been too horrible)
I started my injections after my laparoscopy to remove chocolate cysts one in each ovary - and diagnosed endometriosis.
I don’t know if the injections have helped - people say on here it helps with pain. However now just not having the cysts inside is definitely a relief / less pain!
Hope that answers some of your questions. Here if you want to talk
