Hi the doctor told me when I asked if there was anything to take to combat the sweats and flushes etc with the zoladex.
His reply was that most women get more effect from herble remedies? And to try Holland and Barrett
Bit confused x

Was that your GP? Whoever it is, they're talking nonsense. It's pretty standard to be given tibolone with these injections to help with the sweats. Can you see someone else?
Thats what I thought 🤷🏼♀️😤
I think ill see how I go and defiantly see maybe a female g.p x
Definitely see another GP and ask for tibolone. You need it to protect your bones!
👍🏼thank you x
They usually give it after having a whole month of the zoladex - my consultant and also the GPs I saw all agreed with this. So try and get seen before or around starting your next injection to discuss it. I had awful headaches without it because of the loss of oestrogen in my body. Started on the HRT and I was better quite quick. Of course it massively helps with the hot flushes and everything else. But you need it it for the bones 😊 x
Hi Kate ..
I haven’t been on the HRT it isn’t always best to add that on.
The herbal / vitamins may help. (As they are natural)
You never know how your body will react to the Zoladex only.. rather than putting lots of new stuff in at one time.
Just thought I would mention.
Xx
Thanks Rachel
Yeah I know im thinking give it some time...
My body is just really still getting over my laparoscopy.
Ive not had Mr period yet either meant to have come im yesterday.
Ive had cramps and leg pains like usual but with all the bloating and pains from the op.
Its not arrived 🤷🏼♀️ x
Of course your body still getting over the laparoscopy it hasn’t even been a week yet.
I haven’t had a period since being on the injections.. which I was just chatting with the GP about as it is now quite nice not to have them as such as an inconvenience!!
I do sometimes get that lower stomach / back pain thinking I am going to have a period .. but nothing.
It is probably just your body also still recovering after the operation.
Hope this afternoon you can put your feet up and relax.
Xx
Your probably right... I feel exhausted.. And very stressed crying at everything
This afternoon I've managed a little walk with my girls but soon had to come home,
Headaches kicked in about 4pm
Using migraine strips and paracetamol
Hope your ok hun... Xx
Strange I had HRT with mine!
Ps I had a great zolodex experience! Less pain
Aw Thats positive Kate... How are you feeling?
Still achey and swollen from my lap just over a week ago but I loved been on the zolodex for 6 mths beforehand! Really helped me live a normal life again!
Aw hun just saw your photo on your post your looking good.. And its slowly improving its frustrating but we've been so brave! Try and think positive our bodies have gone through so much and a really quite intense surgery especially yourself with removal too.
Well my journey has started now.. Im praying zoledex will help me too.
Im so swollen too.. Im meant to be going to the theatre on Friday (booked months before) for my hubby's birthday really dont want to go! Trying to find something that fits and is comfy is proving a night mare.
Sorry to rant!!!!
Take care sweetie thanks for listening x
I'm due to be having a laparoscopy but not got any date just my pre op this week. My gynecologist told me that I will start zoladex injections for 6 months straight after my laparoscopy then no more than this and can not be given HRT because it produces the same hormones that helps endometriosis grow so would defeat the purpose of the zoladex injections. If the zoladex injections help then I can have a hysterectomy. If the zoladex injections doesn't stop my pain then the chances are I'd still be in pain after a hysterectomy. I'm not sure what the alternative is though because we haven't discussed it yet were on wait and see x
Hi Belle sorry late reply.
Is the laparoscopy to find out if you have Endometriosis? Or have you had a laparoscopy before?
I was told that by my doc too.
X
It's going to be an investigation laparoscopy and 1st. But I'm sure I do have endometriosis and think I have had it since my early teens but was masked by the pill I had took in-between, just don't know how bad it is. Gynecologist said it depends on if it is white or black deposits, as white is harder to see as it disappears under the light they use to look. Think I've been lucky with this gynecologist, seems to know what they're talking about x
I had my first lap last Thursday.
Which confironed the Endo present on my ovary.
Good luck with your Lap... Hopefully a conclusion will be found to your pains.
Ive started my zoladex yesterday and im having horrible headaches.
Good luck🤞🏼 xx
