Nausea

Does anyone else suffer from nausea due to endometriosis? Have you found anything effective? I am prescribed cyclizine which does help but sometimes the nausea is so strong it is not effective alone. I used to be prescribed prochlorperazine in addition but after recently having a seizure caused by my medication (tramadol in particular) my gp is refusing to prescribe me any more prochlorperazine as one of the side effects is seizures. I obviously dont want to have another seizure as I have already lost my driving licence for 6 months but this constant nausea is very frustrating, has anyone got any recommendations of what has worked for them?

Thank you! Hazel x

My GP gives me motilium which I find works well, I take two at a time when I feel a bit off.

Hi Hazel

I tried all sorts of medications and inhalers from the doctors. None of them helped.

I follow a natural way to help myself now.

I drink nettle tea. It helps with nausea, soothes your digestive system and bowels. Helps IBS cramps.

Peppermint tea and camomile tea also help.

Ginger and honey tea also help with nausea.

I take bromelain (pineapple), papain (papaya), ginger and turmeric tablet every morning.

Pineapple and papaya have a enzyme in it that helps your digestive system. If you eat them half a Papaya and two slices of fresh pineapple are all you need a day to help your digestive system.

Ginger is great for nausea.

As long as you don't have a stomach ulcer.

Organic apple cider vinegar 1 teaspoon in a glass of water with 2 teaspoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice also helps with nausea, coughing, GERD. I have reflux oesophagus so my digestive system suffers from inflammation a lot causing nausea , GERD and coughing. It helps the Endometriosis cough I had.

I also breath through the nausea with 4-7-8 breathing technique. To claim my nervous system.

Sometimes things get trapped in our stomachs as they are not being digested and the only thing that works is to be sick. Vomiting is horrible but will help your body to get what ever is trapped and causing problems out. I find it best to listen to my body.

Before I had my laparoscopy surgery 5 days ago the 3 cysts and fibroid I had removed made me feel or be very sick at times. I haven't felt sick for the last 4 days.

I was very sick after the operation but as I got it out of my system I have felt much better since.

I hope you find something to help the nausea soon. X
