Like all the other hormonal treatments, the pill does not cure endometriosis. Rather, it alleviates the pain of endometriosis by suppressing menstruation and inhibiting the growth of the endometrial implants. (copied and pasted from endometriosis.org/treatment...

Will it prevent growths?

It can prevent it from getting worse, as you know there is no cure but ways to manage it which is surgery to remove it then some sort of hormonal treatment to help slow/prevent growth.

I just had my lap in March to remove endo and I was told to stay on the pill as it will slow it down. It won't stop the endo as I was told it feeds off my natural hormones but as the pill suppresses those it will definitely slow it down. Hope this helps

My last zolodex injection was 18th day before my op so I’ve got another month of zolodex which will help with surgery recovery.

Unsure how long it takes for periods to return after 6 months of zolodex treatment

Everyones different. After surgery some people are relieved of symptoms for years. Some for life. Some for months. Some dont get any relief. It depends on the type of endometriosis (aggressive or not) and how advanced it is.

As for Zoladex its more or less how long is a piece of string. My first course my periods returned when it was due. My last one took 4 months. On my third course now, im thinking ill prob take longer this time.
