🙋🏻♀️ it is just the worst isn’t it? Unpredictable guts are one of the worst things about it all. I found Imodium comforts one of the best things for me to deal with the pains and wind. And eased bloating best too. Touch wood haven’t needed it since I’ve been started on zoladex but always carry it around with me just incase. For me it was always heightened at period and as the endo worsened at ovulation and then just everyday. X
Hi!
I have endo on the bowel and have all these symptoms. I can pass a lot of mucus but not so much blood. I can’t pass a stool naturally and have to use suppositories every time I need to go. X
My consultant thinks I have this again (after exision nearly 3 years ago). I have the symptoms you describe. The stabbing pain is now at its worst but I’ve started Zoladex today with HRT so hoping I will get some relief.
I also have a kidney check and MRI next month to see the extent of it. 🤞 It’s not too bad.
I hope the laposcopy gives you answers, it’s so horrible 😢 Xxx
Pretty much all the time. Had my bowel shaved several years ago all the symptoms stopped for a good few years, slowly started coming back again so I had a lap last year with a consultant in spire who was utterly useless -.- so now the bsge consultant is doing my next lap and hopefully I'll know if I have bowel endo again. I get blood, mucus, constantly constipated, shooting pains, painfully gas, endo bloat and really loud bowel sounds which are embarrassing. I live off fybogel, laxido, lactulose and senna's. x
I have bleeding from my back passage every period and painful wind, stabbing pains and bloating throughout my cycle. I told the gp first time it happened and she told me to let them know if it happened again. It did, so I told them and the response was "well it is very common with endometriosis" combined with a patronising, pitying look. I also told them about the pain I get beneath my ribs and in my back at the level of the diaphragm and she told me it was probably costochondroitis (inflammation of the cartilage in the sternum) and there was nothing they could do but not to worry as "it's not serious" and it couldn't be endo as it's too high up. Which I already know from this site and my research is a lie! I'm changing gp soon so will take my issues hopefully to someone more competent!
Yes! I take 6-10 laxido sachets a day, my GP has been really good about it all as I haven't yet had a lap but he is utterly sure I have it on my bowel as my symptoms are appalling when I don't take laxido. I get pain and bleeding when I go on my period, and bad bloating/mucus still, but the constipation isn't so bad now - I used to go upto 3 weeks at a time with nothing despite being the definition of a health and fitness freak!!
I feel for you, get this too and it’s awful. I kept going back to my GP until I was referred for a sigmoidoscopy and later a colonoscopy for reassurance to rule out anything sinister. Neither found any active endo inside my bowel but said that could have been because I wasn’t on my period at the time and have put it down to me having stage 4 endo everywhere xx
thank you for all your replys, it really is so draining isnt it and mentally Ive felt so depressed and not wanting to go out at times. I get worried when out with friends that i will be in pain i have my pre op in 6 weeks so hoping my operation will follow 2-4 weeks later xx
I pass blood and mucus during my period - not every month but most. It's been happening for 18 years so I thought it was normal but my GP has referred me to colorectal and I've to go for a test (it's not a colonoscopy but somethings like that).
I get really bad pains during my period when my bowels are moving. And codeine makes me constipated but I've been taking laxido and that has been helping. I've had different kind of bleeding before when my stools have been really hard so the laxido helps with that.
i get blood and mucous in my stool when not on a period its always constipated and feels struggle to push i dread going the toilet because I know its going to be a struggle. im gonna ho doctors to get laxitives as that will help xx
I feel for you; endometriosis is a really horrible disease to have and can really have a negative impact on your quality of life.
I had my diagnosis last June and I have had my second laparoscopy nearly 2 weeks ago; both times endometriosis has been left on my bowel as the surgeons were not endometriosis or bowel specialists. Apparently I’m prone to it recurring quickly lucky me 🤦🏼♀️It is upsetting as they knew my bowel issues prior both laparoscopys 🤦🏼♀️ but I’ve now been referred to an endometriosis specialist who works alongside a bowel surgeon good results 🙌🏻
In answer to your question I do get bleeding from my bottom on my period.
If your endometriosis is on your bowel you will need to have a laparoscopy done by an endometriosis specialist.
Good luck with it all xoxo
It only happens when I am really constipated it actually hurts my front too like feels like it pressing on my vagina if that makes sense. I have a feeling it is around my pouch of douglas. ive got some laxitives from my GP yesterday so that will help alot xxx
