Hey, basically have had rectal bleeding for 5 years now to the point I've been admitted to hospital. I've had 6 surgeries for hemorrhoids even though I kept telling them it was to do with my menstrual cycle. I've had lower left abdomen pain since 2 years ago which is like a cramping pain. I had a laproscopy in June 2017 where they found a small amount of endometriosis in my pouch of douglas but couldn't remove it all due to how deep it went into the tissue so they put me on Zoladex every 4 weeks and I'm to have 6 (number 6 is due 23rd March). It was really helping with the pain until just before the 5th one. My gynaecologist reckons I may have endometriosis on my bowel and in my rectovaginal septum so referred me to someone else who requested an mri but I've just found out its clear so she's going to see me as a routine appointment. Basically I've just started panicking incase she just tells me it's all in my head and they're not going to investigate. Has anyone else been in a similar situation where mri has come back clear and what happened next? Sorry for the long post hope it makes sense. Thank you xx

MRI results came back clear...help!
mri scans are not always accurate, my mri was clear considering I had deep endo which penetrated the 3 layers of bowel. They still went ahead with the surgery thankfully, god knows what would of happened if it was left any longer.
Oh really? Did you have a colonoscopy or sigmoidoscopy as well? My sigmoidoscopy came back clear so was discharged from colorectal and told the bleeding was hemorrhoids even though there wasn't any. What are your symptoms, if you don't mind me asking?
I never had a colonoscopy before that surgery, but recently had one which came back clear. Since my surgery years ago for my bowel, my symptoms have come back. Bowel bleeds only when on periods but it doesn't happen every month (clear colonoscopy even no hemorrhoid's) sharp stabbing pains in anus area, gas can be painful, bloating, painful bowel movements, constant dull ache lower left abdominal and I suffer constant constipation oh and also bowel movements when on a period feels like whole lower back is going to fall out.
Hi I'm new to the site, I've had endrometrisos since I was 18 am now 48. Can you help, my bowel is so painful it makes me vomit and also my back I can hardly walk, the pain is every single day, I'm going for an MRI on Saturday. Was I was first diagnosed they said it was one of the worst they had ever seen so they put me on depo, it worked but they took me off it, I'd been on it 16 years, now it horrendous xx
Did they remove any endometriosis when they first diagnosed you?
Hi, yes had 2 ops to remove it,but not from my bowel, and that was 24 years ago xx
I'd recommend going to see your GP and see about getting a referral to a BSGE centre. Here's a link to find the nearest one to you - bsge.org.uk/centre/
