Mire a coil and breast tenderness

I was fitted with the coil about 6 weeks ago as I was experiencing painful cysts and endo. I have been advised I need surgery. The problem I have at the moment are period like pain and extreme breast tenderness in both breasts. They are really swollen and burning. I have started taking evening primrose oil and am taking ibuprofen. Does anyone have any advice or can you tell me how long this pain is likely to last?
