Infertility and endometriosis

Hi there, I have recently had the diagnosis of endometriosis after a lap and dye procedure to investigate infertility. The consultant has said he has cauterized it, unfortunately I am unsure to the location of the endometriosis as he was telling me just as I woke up from the general anaesthesic and won't find out more for another 5 weeks.

My question is, has anyone managed to get pregnant and keep a pregnancy after having endometriosis cauterized? How long did this take you? I've been trying to conceive for 2 and a half years now.

I conceived the first month after my lap n dye but I miscarried. Sorry I couldn’t give a more positive story. But it was still a huge breakthrough- we had been ttc for 6 years and in that time no positive tests till my endo was found and treated.

I have seen many other ladies conceived and go on to have healthy babies after the lap n dye.

Good luck really hope you get a positive test soon xoxo

I had first lap in 2009, which they didn’t treat due to the location on my uretha. We gave up ttc after years of no success, got cats, booked expensive snowboarding holiday for the following year to Canada then I fell pregnant, and couldn’t board 😄. Our daughter is now 6.5! She’s our miracle baby.

Stay positive (I know it’s hard!) good luck to you and others ttc
