Nausea after laparoscopy?

I’m on day five after my lap now. I still haven’t managed to have a bowel movement yet.. had lactulose yesterday and having more today. Very windy though that’s for sure! So maybe it’s slowly moving it’s way down.

But my nausea is so bad. I’m finding it hard to even write this out because I feel so sick. Apart from this, I’m healing up great. Incision sites are perfectly fine and catheter is being removed tomorrow morning.

Not sure if nausea is a normal thing after this procedure? Worried as I get so car sick and tomorrow we have to drive to the hospital! So if I feel like this it’s going to be awful. I think it’s mainly after I eat I feel like it worse xx

I have gastro problems normally and after my diagnostic lap I had really bad nausea for like 3 weeks 🤦🏼‍♀️ Drink lots to wash out the anaesthetic and ask someone to pick you up antisickness arm bands 😮 I'd be worried more that you havent done a bowel movement 😮 Xx

I finally had a bowel movement! Haha I bought lactulose. But oh my god it was painful 😖 had to have a hot bath after!!!

Feel so much better today, it’s been one week! So quick. Going to get in my car and drive up to road to the shops! See how that goes xx
