I'm sorry you have experienced this. Must be very frustrating. I'm tryin to decide whether to have my first laparoscopy as I don't know how reliable they are but someone else on here probably will. I assume it depends on the expertise, endo experience and skill of the surgeon as to whether they are likely to miss any endo. I hope someone else can offer some better advice. I'm not sure what else endo pain symptoms can be so I hope your doctor can answer your questions and give you sufficient pain relief until they find out what's wrong. Good luck 🍀 hope lap recovery is quick

Thank you very much. I will be going back to my doctor next week to discuss a second opinion and referral to a specialist and pay, I was extremely disappointed as I know there is definitely something wrong xx

I’m so sorry to hear you don’t have clear answers for your pain- how frustrating and upsetting for you.

My fertility dr initially thought my pain was bowel in origin prior to the lap he done - but turned out I had endo in pouch of Douglas. He said that bowel and gynae symptoms are identical and are difficult to tell apart- I wonder if your pain maybe bowels?

Definitely go back to the gp because pain is not normal- it is an indication something is not ok and should be investigated till the cause is found.

If your are convinced it is gynae- perhaps get a 2nd opinion that is your right. Maybe you could have a hysteroscopy to look closer into your uterus- maybe you have polyps or fibroids that are the cause of your pelvic pain.

Whatever is causing the pain I hope you get it resolved soon.

Good luck xoxo

Hi

I had my first lap October 2016 and was told there was no endometriosis found. They just discharged me and I felt so lost as to what to do. I went back to my dr and have tried several treatments since then, none of which have worked. Luckily my dr referred me back to gynae and I am having another lap next week - the consultant is doing it this time so hopefully if there is anything he’s the man to find it! I’m the same as you, I just want answers! Don’t know what to do if no endo is found again...

keep persisting, don’t give up, keep going back to the dr. You’re not making up the pain so there must be something wrong. Might be able to explore bowel or urology after as all the symptoms are similar!

Good luck with your recovery and hope you find some answers soon! X
