I AM sure you can have tibolone (Livial) as some add back hormone to manage the symptoms. Lots of people mention it on this site. Look up Livial in the searches. It is a form of synthetic progesterone thatbis used to treat postmenopausal women with hot flushes etc. They give it to women like you as add back therapy and it helps the side effects. Ask your Dr about that’.

I’m sorry to hear that this is your experience. I only had threee months worth and monthly injections, but I had a similar experience feeling so low. They put me on tibolone which once it kicked in (takes about 6 weeks) really helped with the mood. It really helped with my pain if that is any consolation, I hope it gets better. I had some counselling through work too which helped

Good luck.

Hi Leah. Im wondering how are you today? Is your periods got back?

I took Decapeptyl mistakenly 2 x 3.75 injections during 2 days, and my period is not back for 9 month now. Im 43 but im only 43, looks like it's forever already... Hope on your side it's ended up better, is it?

thanks

I'm in the same position. I have had the Decapeptyl injection 2 weeks ago and feel shocking. I was prescribed the Tibolone too but had to stop taking it as i'm lactose intolerant and the lactose in the tablet was really upsetting my stomach with pain etc. I'm not moody as hell which isn't me, angry, in pain and hot flushes keeping me awake. Currently waiting for an alternative HRT but no one seems to have any urgency or care, So fustrating.

When does everyone thing the Decapeptyl starts working and when does the HRT kick in?
