Pre-assessment for Laparoscopy

Today I have my pre-assessment for my lap, it says heart scan, urine test and blood tests on the letter. Does anyone know what it involves? Blood tests don't go well for me i have quite low blood pressure so 10 minutes after i have it taken i usually almost pass out

Hi - I only had blood-tests for my pre-op. They took 2 vials. I also have a vasovagal reaction to blood being taken which kind of sucks because I really thought I was going to pass out between the two tests, but know it's not enough blood to lose to cause me to faint. Try not to think about the fainting etc. and bring food in case they don't have any for you. Can't advise on the heart scan or urine test (however I did have one right before my operation (not at the pre-op) to check if I was pregnant which is possibly what yours is for?)
