Laposcope : Hello just a couple question or... - Endometriosis UK
Laposcope
The same thing happened to me. Told me for years it was likely endometriosis then despite seeing adhesions and scar tissue during surgery told me it wasn’t. Have you got a follow up appt? Or have they discussed other possible causes for your pain? Don’t be scared to ask for a second opinion or to be referred to someone else.
I also got the coil when I was in, and I think it’s quite common to bleed at first with that. Mine lasted around 6 weeks but I know others only had it for a couple of weeks. Since that stopped though I’ve had no periods at all so hopefully this is the case for you.
I know it’s tough, but keep your chin up. Don’t let them ignore the pain x
They not giving me a follow up appioment they just said take normal pain killers for the pain
And have wait six months to see if the coil works that's all they said tthank you
If they’re not seeing you again then you should try and get an appt to see your GP. Having so much pain isn’t normal and someone does need to work out why it’s happening. I know it’s tough - I’m in the same boat as you trying to fight to be seen again - so just make sure you don’t keep quiet and get forgotten about x
I will try fight but just feel like they don't believe me I had really good doctor but they no longer work for my doctors and every one else I see seems to pish me aside x
I definitely won't qick it's been too long and I need sort this out as I don't want it to affect my job just want the pain to stop I don't know this allowed on here but I also have pain when have sex and it's horrible don't know if you got the same
Yeah, I get terrible pain when I'm having sex..... I'm now at the stage where I actually dread it and put it off as long as possible. Thank God I have a really patient and understanding boyfriend. I've also noticed now since my lap that I get terrible clots after it despite not getting actual periods and (way too tmi here - sorry!) I'm left running to the toilet for a good couple of hours after.
Have you spoken to your work about how you're feeling and that you're worried?
I had a terrible reaction to the coil as it was lying on my cervix forcing it to contract, so in effect I was in labour
Went to A&E as was climbing the walls in pain had it removed pain stopped
Hope that you get it sorted soon
I was tested 2 years ago for endo as I've been having problems for 11 years after my last c section and sterlization. I have stage 3 endo and after my 1st lapaoscopic surgery my inside was all stuck and wrapped around each other. Had my second keyhole 2 month later same again but also a big mass inside my womb. Then had a endometriosis ablation that was a nightmare ended up in a&e with the pain.was in hospital for a week. Back to my gyne now booked to have full hysterectomy but today was started on decapeptyl injection omg pain is in bearable sickness won't stop even oxycodone I'm on not touching it. So just rang the ward that did injection to be told I have to go to emergency ward. Will this ever stop. Don't give up keep pushing took me 12 years to get where I am today.
