Hello everyone, I have just decided to join the page. I was diagnosed with endometriosis at the age of 14, and have been controlling it with the implant and taking tramodol to help with the pain ever since. I am now 22, and I think after 8 years with the implant, it's time to get it taken out. I'm very anxious that once the implant is out, every month I will have to go through the pain and the feeling of been physically and emotionally drained. Is there any other sort of treatment, not contraceptive, that could help me? Maybe dietary or certain excersises? PLEASE HELP

Depends on your day to day without your implant in.

I've not had an had implant so don't know how it's be afterwards.

Maybe the go could recommend you get referred to a gyneagologist so you can get correct advice hun.

Xxx

Dont unless you are trying for a baby. If contreception controls your endo stick with it til you want children. I come off the pill early 20s due to cervical errosion. Over the years i knew i had a problem and probably should have pushed for investigations. It started with peeing blood at 25. Id go toilet, then bam, couldnt get off toilet! Not joking id be sat there for hours on end then id end up with around 3-5 days of cystitis. This come and went. Ended up under urology. Had cameras into kidney ect ended up with urethras (if right one) stented. They where 'tight'. Most painful thing i ever endured. Anyway they said i was passing blood clots, not stones. So that eased off and periods become lighter and lighter but longer and longer. Never thought much about it tbh. Then come the random nights of waking up in middle of night in agony so bad i was pass out/throw up. This would happen anytime of the month. Wasnt paying much attention but it was partial bowel obstructions. Anyway that went on for years but was too busy go Drs. It eventually lead to PID and sepsis. I was so ill. So ill. Anyway. Diagnosed with stage 4 deep infiltrated endo. And now it responds to nothing. Bowels permanently damaged, so is my bladder, both my fallopian tubes and i have daily constant pain.

I always ate healthy, had horses so exercised, didnt drink ect. It still progressed. Dont risk yours progressing.

Xx

I'm so sorry to hear that, and I will take your advice and stay on the implant until I decide to have kids, as it does control my endo really well. Thank you for your help xxx

Definitely go to a consultant before you do anything. If you just get off the implant your endo will only get worse.
