Uncomfortable pain - upper abdomen . Anyone else?

Hi

I have endo been diagnosed 10 years but now it's in my bowel and have chocolate cysts etc. I'm currently very uncomfortable but the pain is under my ribs and is constant but worse when sitting down like something is stuck under my ribs? I just can't get comfortable at all , a dr suggested it could be related to things being pushed out of place by the cyst but he obviously wasn't sure. Any one else had this?

Hi. I have had this for about a year.. Sometimes worse than other times. My consultant doesn't think its linked to my endometriosis. Having looked in anatomy textbooks I'm wondering if its the alimentary lymph duct and surrounding lymph nodes becoming inflammed due to general congestion in my abdominal and pelvic cavities... it is only a guess though. Sometimes it feels like an extremely painful protruding thing then it goes again! Definitely only a guess tho!

Thanks for replying. That's an interesting thought will take a look. I wasn't convinced about his theory but who knows!

Thanks again

I also get extremely painful acid burning pains two days before my period across my upper belly from ribs down... it seems just below surface, not as deep as intestines.. ive never understood this either!

I get a lot of pain under my ribs also around that time and chest discomfort and pain. Always the same each month then gets better before coming back

I have a pain below my right ribs. Turns out, the endometrioma in my right ovary is putting pressure on my kidney, causing a condition called hydronephrosis.

Endo has a lot to answer for!

I think that's what my dr was getting at about things being pushed out the way and causing other issues. It certainly does have a lot to answer for! Thanks for your reply
