Sitting/lying in the bath?

I sometimes add Epsom Salts or essential oils. Make sure its nice and warm. Bring a book, play some nice music or that box set from Lush! Light some candles, bring in a glass of wine! I have one of those machines that you get for christmas that makes your bath into a swirling mini spa.

Anything that will help you relax !

Sounds lovely.....i do feel better in water...i may have to book a spa day and just sit in the pool all day x

Hi

I can never understand why doctors prescribe cocodamol without also prescribing Lactulose medicine. Constipation will aggravate your pain. Drinking plenty of water should help . Lactulose and Fybogels till you are regular again.

What dose codeine were they? Once you have got good bowel movements back, maybe try one tablet of 8/500 cocodamol and one x paracetamol as well as antiinflamortories.

Or just stick to paracetamol and antiinflammortories. Three or four times a day with at least four hours between doses for short-term pain relief.

Hi nice relaxing not too hot baths help sooth I had burns on my stomach through hot water bottles so I stopped using it. My Dr has tried me on all pain killers from the weakest co codamol to the stongest of painkillers tramadol and dihydrocodine but nothing works so he has recently put me on morphine which I don't want to take but I do because I need to it doesn't totally take the pain I think it just makes my head go west and fall asleep so I'm not quite aware of the pain. Hope you fine something that works for you.

Take care

Tia xx

Try ponstan and paracetamol together. Paracetamol every 4 hours and ponstan every 8. I set my alarm throughout the night and sometimes it works to keep the pain at bay. Stay away from codine I don't think it works well with endo pain. Also if poss stay away from alcohol as I find it totally aggravates the bowel...good luck!!! 😊

Hi,

For me the only pain relief that work is neurofen express caplets 256mg. But don't take it in empty stomach. I take 1 tablet during the day after every four hours and at night i usually take 2 tablets if getting excruciating pain. It relieves pain very fast.
