Just curious as to whether any of you know why endo pain can vary month to month? 2 cycles ago I had a 26 day cycle and no pain (a miracle). This cycle 38 days and excruciating pain. Anyone know of a particular reason? I am still trying to find out more about the disease because I have recently been diagnosed with stage 4 endo.
Thankyou x

Yeah, I too find that each month can be quite different. Usually, my odd numbered months are worse than the even ones and this month is no exception. I'm also very curious to know why that is, but I suspect, as they can't even tell us why Endo happens in the first place, we probably shouldn't hold our breath.
Just wanted to offer one small correction, though: our ovaries simply contain our eggs. Each month, one egg drops from one ovary. The egg travels down the Fallopian tube and into the uterus, where the endometrial cells have created a cushy lining, should one become pregnant. When we menstruate, our ovaries are not involved. Menstruation comes from the uterus only, not the ovaries, as they are involved in a different job earlier in the process.
