2 weeks to go!

Only 2 weeks now until Op Giblet and having my hysterectomy. Feeling nervous, scared that it won't work. But so many people have told me what a huge difference it has made to their lives! I hope this is the case for em too.

Once you have recovered you will feel a lot better.

Are you having a total hysterectomy? Endo excision? Xxxxx

Hi, yes total hysterectomy, the whole lot is going. I'm assuming they'll do the ending excision at the same time, as I have the adhesive endo, it would be silly not to! But I'll find out exactly what is happening just before the op.

Have you had a hysterectomy also? Xx

Yes I had total hysterectomy with endo excision 9 weeks ago. Consults aid recovery is 8 to 12 weeks so nearly there now.

I had stage 4 endo, chocolate cyst both ovaries stuck together, stuck behind uterus, which was stuck to my bowel and back, POD was covered too.

Was best decision I made as no more constant pain . Xxxxxx

I'm so glad it has worked out well for you. I've been in constant pain for about a year, with it starting to play up about 2 years ago. I had a lap in March and the only thing I was really told was I was absolutely riddled with adhesive endo and she couldn't get all of it. So after 4 months of waiting to see how it settled it was decided that I needed a hysterectomy. Xx

Yes and no... but mostly yes! I can't wait to get it done, but on the other hand I'm a single mum to young girls so I only have my mum to help for a couple weeks and then I have to get on with it. It was bad enough trying to recover from the laparoscopy so worrying about being able to let go of housework and look after myself! Xxx

You must take full advantage of your mum and let help you all she can.

You could make meals and freeze them for when you're not up to cooking. Forget the housework, you are more important.

Quicker you rest and allow your body to recover, quicker you're back to normal.

You will feel a lot better when your recovered with no pain and can them enjoy your girls and life again xxxx

I agree. Do not go near the hoover!!! Leave it!

If you're anything like me who does all the cleaning through out the house on the only day you get off then i get your frustration, but im warning you. Dont try it! It will not help your recovery and could cause a problem if your not careful.

I stupidly forgot that i had had an operation and automatically went to lift a vase....with water in it...and it was an old fashioned thick glass bell bottom one. It was not a good idea. I was very lucky i did not cause a serious problem.

So take it from someone who know. Take it easy. Recover slowerly and you will gwt there sooner than you think.

Xx

Thank you Hun, I'm going to get my girls to shout at me if I go near anything and I'm going to get a cleaner to come in too. But it will be frustrating! X
