Norethisterone and mental health

Hello... I'm new to this group! Just recently had a laparoscopy (a month ago) and i have been put on norethisterone for three months. Wondering if anyone else has had problems with their mental health whilst on these tablets? I am constantly paranoid, upset or snappy for no reason and my anxiety is really bad, constantly struggling to breathe.

Sadly you sound like me, I was ok on half a tablet but when I went up I was awful. Consultant was surprised I stuck it out! Stop them & see your specialist!

I was told to take three a day. Went to my GP yesterday and she told me to stop taking them if they made me feel that way and she's writing to my consultant so hopefully come up with another option. Did they give you another option?
