I had my scan a few weeks ago which showed bilateral ovarian cysts suspected to be endometriomas which filled my head with lots of questions. Now I have had a phone call with an appointment to see a gynae consultant for an initial consult this evening my mind has gone blank. Any advice on what questions I should be asking would be masively appreciated so i can make some notes before my appointment. Thanks in advance!

Initial Consult
Hi
I had my quite recently. Your feelings are understandable and I had the same too. Depending on your age and personal choices, I would suggest discussing fertility, time off work, how soon after the op will you gain feedback etc. Try not to worry you are in safe hands X all the best
I would also check if he/she is BGSE too, what options do you have and did the scan endo anywhere else, which may mean a laparoscopy would be needed to fully confirm.
Write your questions down and be afraid to ask them and write down the answers.
Good luck xxx
Write down all your symptoms again. Ask how they treat ovarian cysts ? What type of cysts? Will they do an MRI?
If endometriomas have a cystectomy. Don't let them drain them .As they have and 80% chance of reoccurring
Go on Nancy Nook on Facebook they have files that give questions for consultants
Good luck
