Endometriosis and slimming world/other diets

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience or have any thoughts on this.

I have been going to slimming world for just over a year now, since I had my baby boy. Initially I lost a lot of weight (1 1/2 stone) in about 2 months however since then I have just yo yo'd at the same sort of weight, some weeks ill lose a pound, then the next week Ill gain several, stay the same, gain again, lost 1ibs. Ive actually put half a stone back on over the last few months and not been able to get it off.

I follow the plan, count my syns etc but Ive read online that endometriosis can cause weight gain. I wondered if anyone had had a similar experience as I am getting a bit down and fed up now with it. I am still a stone heavier than before I had my son and I feel crap all the time because I am not losing weight yet trying so hard.

Any suggestions or alternatives? Please dont suggest juice plus/herbalife etc because they do not interest me and I like to be able to cook the same meal for all my family at main meal times.

thank you xx

I've recently started slimming world and I'm just wondering if you've had a chat with your consultant to see if they can suggest anything? It's just that in my group a couple of ladies have platoued and they found that making a few changes helped. One lady had just stopped measuring her milk and another wasn't filling her plate a third with speed food. I have also heard that it is a lot more difficult to lose weight when you have endometriosis but I can't remember the reasons why etc xx

I lost all my weight with sw 6yrs ago. I then got my lap a year l8r n slowly weight start going on. I kept rejoining but couldnt lose. I finally rejoined a year ago and i lost nothing i spoke to consultant as nothings supposed to stop you losing weight. I done everything right and put weight on...gutted. my serious problems start past few years when my weights crept up. I think theres a link my dr says its due to coil and eating more but i prob eat less now due to sickness n bloating. So dont beat yourself up as i def think its endo!x

I didn’t do slimming world as that made me gain weight from the start, but used to do Scottish slimmers instead. I had the same issue. Lost loads years ago but now can’t lose a thing. Still trying to find something to work for me now, haven’t found anything yet though xx

I never got on with slimming world really at all but when I did do it I was the same. I’ve tried the Cambridge diet and that worked really well for me but it is pricey and does take loads of self control!! Xx
