Im on the endometriosis diet i have stage 4 endo ive had two operations i have pcos and adenomyosis i have been on this diet before but decided to give it another go the past two weeks have been eating the right amount of calories, iv just been eating at normal times i was 10 stone 140 pounds before the diet im now only 9 and half stone in 2 weeks. I dont want to keep loosing weight as it makes me feel even more ill and im already small but curvy and loosing that half of a stone has come from them areas and i like to have curves im not really liking the diet but just trying to "stick it out"

Should i give up the endometriosis diet?

Ive also been getting bruises all over legs for some unknown reason.

HI JustMichelle21,

Im so sorry the diet isn't working out for you, I am just looking into starting an endo diet...can you give me an idea of what you would eat on a typical day? Its all so new to me! Your advice would be great and I need to drop a good few stone in the beginning!

Look forward to hearing from you soon

xx

Hello Bex

Theres some websites here that will help you they have some great recipes and i have been changing things up with the recipes to putting my own touch on things that i like : )

foodie4healing.blogspot.co....

mrsblondieskitchen.blogspot...

pinterest.com/jennajoannp/e...

There is also a website where you can buy pre cooked food its called Ilumi (there good quality without the hassle but you have to choose the right ones as some are better than others)

ilumiworld.com/?gclid=CO2ju...

I also buy from the grocery shop (tesco, asda etc)

Where i buy a range of different items from there gluten free section such as the genius bread (white) i personally dont like the brown or the seeded and the other brands dont taste as nice to me you can buy a range of things from noodles/pasta, gluten free wraps (warburtons ones are nice) they have gluten free pizza bases a range of things you will have to look for yourself they have some frozen to if you like frozen foods which are also gluten free but are expensive i buy nuts and things like that which we are allowed unless its like peanuts then they have gluten but walnuts etc were allowed and i buy chicken , The wraps are nice for a chicken wrap with salad and there is some gluten free marinade sauces you can use to marinate your chicken if you would like to.

Im still having milk but not cows milk im having goats milk and goats yogurt.

Thank you so much!!!! this is such a good help! I already eat the Genius bread as I also suffer from IBS and have the Koko milk so im hoping iv already made the biggest adjustments, its the dinners and sauces that i struggle with the most! and not eating red meat ive never tried before!

Thank you for sending the links as well! cant wait to get shopping and recipe sorting! :) xx

For breakfast i have gluten free cereals cornflakes (which they sell at tesco) I just cook whatever i feel like that is gluten free for dinner and then i have tea and night time il have snacks sometimes i dont even feel like breakfast so i do skip that at times depending on how i feel. I went on the diet not wanting to loose weight i was 10 stone so that to me is a decent healthy weight for a 5ft 6 n half 23 year old but i started loosing the weight and have dropped to 9 n half in 2 weeks.

It has helped i have always had a flat stomach but after operations and the endo itself my stomach started to swell really badly making me look like i was pregnant so when i went on this diet it changed all that however i dont notice a change in my pain i dont think but everyone different, i have had endo since i was 14 so its been 10 years nearly and i was diagnosed 3-4 years ago. Good luck with your diet i hope it works out for you if you need anyone to talk to im here : ) message me anytime.

yeh iv literally just gone and bought maternity jeans because everything is so sensitive on my tummy and iv ballooned in the last 3 weeks since iv had a flare up, im going in for an op next week and figure ill need soft for a while, its my second time round so know to expect the bloating etc!

Hopefully even though you have dropped the initial weight from the diet that you will even out and maintain rather than keep losing! Quinoa iv heard is quite good too....just thinking of the bulkier foods to help maintain the healthy weight!

Thank you so much! ill get on it and ill keep posting on my progress! and ditto message anytime! :) xx

I've found the sainsburys freefrom range the best. Their bread and pasta is great but I always find with gluten free food I'm still starving! So basically I now increase portions. I found it really difficult to keep weight on so now try and have gluten free pasta a couple of times a week (large portions) to help bulk up. A couple of bananas a day helps me too.

Try NAC, chromium and Inositol for PCOS, it has helped me.
