Bleeding post lap....can I still get prostap injections while bleeding?

Hi guys..had my 1st lap on tue...recovery going good but today (sat) 5days after op...I have woke up to very heavy period with cloths....my normal period would have been due this coming tue and consultant told me that chances are it wouldn't arrive or be extremely light... I am due to get prostap injections this coming week... Was not told a definite date to have injection..but wondering can I get this done while bleeding heavily?? Any info be appreciated
