I have had spotting since I got mine fitted on 3rd July and still have it now my Endometriosis nurse that I have told me it's normal and can take up to 3-6 months to settle down

Yes! I had mine 6 weeks ago, having the 6 week check Wednesday, but I've been having spotting like I'm going to start a period, and terrible cramps, almost as sever as labour pains some days

Nobody has mentioned a six week check? Is that something you should have? Mine was fitted under anaesthetic during a laparoscopy when they found stage 4 endo x

I have stage 4 Endo as well. I don't know about the six weeks check I had an appointment to get mine check then got a letter saying it doesn't need to be checked the national guidelines have changed

I had spottings to start with, then bleedings everyday and awful awful awful cramping (way stronger than regular period pains) every day too. The Mirena coil was suggested to me as a relief against endometriosis pains and was fitted during my laparoscopy but it turned out to be even worse so I had it removed 3 weeks later. Since then I have been much better I must say, no more severe cramping every day and no more bleedings. The only thing is my endometriosis pains have come back (despite removal during laparoscopy) and I am in pain as I used to be before the laparoscopy. I still prefer being in horrendous pain 2 weeks a month than every single day. We are all very different but I would not put Mirena ever again I don't think.

Yes, it needs to be checked to make sure that it hasn't moved or in some cases fallen out, the last one that I had had in fact moved so it needed repositioning, I'm wondering if this one has as well because of the pains that I am having
