Painful legs

Hi all I'm 54 and I've started getting painful legs,I had a blood test recently and it was slightly abnormal the doctor said if your legs get any swelling or painful see your GP,what could it be

Hi. When you say painful legs, is it muscular or joint?? Years ago I found out I wasn't able to cope with anything containing the sweetener aspartame as it mimics symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis! Took a while and lots of tests!

Following a big op for endo I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I started taking tumeric and it's really helped. Need to check there are no contraindications with any medication.

It's mainly the top of my legs the pain doesn't last long but when it starts I cud cry,I'm taking co_codamol ATM will c how it goes,tnk u

Not hip related is it? My mums had hip issues and a replacement. Pain not only in hip?

Um it might b the hip pain only started yesterday

Do you know what blood test was done? If it was D-dimer it could possibly be DVT/blood clot, however this is more likely to cause pain in one leg. I had a DVT two years ago which they believe was caused by a large endometrioma putting pressure on an artery. Otherwise I think phone go again and ask for more clarification about blood rest done.

Hi it's more muscle​ pain I was on nights last night & the pain has just woke me up it doesn't last long,I can't remember what blood test it was

Doesn't sound like DVT then, particularly if it's both legs. I'd make a phone appointment with GP and remind them of their comment about the blood test x

I get this around my period starting at my lower back, hips and down my thighs. I'm so fidgety I can't relax in the chair and my knees burn.

I've just been told my uterus is stuck to my bowel so I don't know if it's related to that but I did read and article that occasionally it can occur in the legs. How they test for that I've got idea.
