Microgynon 30 & Endo

Hi, I was wondering how many people started taking Microgynon 30 as teens for problem periods? I did at around 14-15 and was diagnosed with endo 13 years later. I stopped taking it after a few years because it wasn't agreeing with me.

Hey,

I started taking Microgynon when I was 13 to help stop my period pains. I'd suffered with them since I was 11 and this is the first pill they gave me. It worked for a couple of years, if that, and I started feeling sick after taking it so they prescribed me different pill. I feel like I tried every pill going lol but none helped for more than a year or so.

Now I'm 23 and have recently been diagnosed with endo. I'm sure I've had endo for a very long time but because my GP just prescribed pain killers and pills it's taken this long to get a diagnosis. x

Hi yes me too!

I started on it at 14 years came off at 34 to find out I have endo stage 4 🙁 Now struggling to have a baby wish I knew in my twenties xxx

I started on microgynon I was 16 but for birth control rather than pain. I was on it for years and when I came off long-term bc at age 31 I stared with endo symptoms. I sometimes wonder if the bc I was on - pill and then implant - contributed to the endo?

I was on microgynon for over 10 years . Had really heavy painful periods . But I started getting high blood pressure so I came off the pill in April TTC . Had a lap done on Sunday due to the docs thinking my appendix was leaking turns out I have endo. Microgynon is not Supposed to be a long term pill though
