My doctor tried to cut out everything she could see which was everywhere and she had to scrap off both of my ovaries I was at stage 3-4 it was on my intestines as well. So 4 months later it came back horrible.I had crippling pain I could not walk from the couch to the bathroom without throwing up.I couldn't sleep. I cannot tell you how good it feels to sleep a whole night and wake up in the morning. After all my test came back my surgeon told me my test came back that not only do I have SLE LUPUS which I knew but I also have RA I did not know that. She was planning on taking both ovaries out so the endo has a less chance of growing again. The risk with my medical conditions were too high.I already have DJD from RA and lupus and scoliosis ,my spine is mild deteriorated all the way from the bottom of my skull to my tailbone. So she said because of my other conditions the early menopause is too risky .I would be at high risk for heart attack and it would effect my bone loss for sure.So she took everything out and left my right ovary. She said she will check it every 6 months to make sure its healthy and ok. She also said it looked remarkable well like the endo was all towards the left side. The left ovary was covered in endo and it was swollen and infected. She took that out.I do think that was the source of my pain.Even though I just had surgery this Monday I am feeling better then I was pre op.I cannot lift anything and I'm taking a easy but I feel like this surgery saved my life.My lips are turning pink again my eyes are not blood shot and tearing constantly.. I'm bloated but post surgery bloated not infected and gross feeling.I feel pain but it is a healing pain.My whole body was carrying all this weight like swelling weight everywhere my hands face arms even. Now that all went away i can see my cheek bones and the bones in my hands and feet.I'm very happy with my surgery I still have about a month to heal but I got released on TUESDAY< yeah the day after. My surgeon had me on a pain pump with diludid she admitted me to stay 3 nights and I asked them to remove it that morning. So because I denied the iv pain meds. I got to come home 4 hours after I just had to walk around my room and use the bathroom alone without help standing which I did obviously. So I am very happy with my choice to do it all that worrying was for nothing.Everyone is different for me this was the best choice.
