I suffered all minus the long periods as mine stopped after several months.

Do you find there's anything to help? Especially the depression as it's affect relationships and my everyday life

I removed it, as I knew that would pretty much put me back to normal.

I'm having mine removed due to prolonged bleeding. I've also felt very down, anxious and irritable. Will be glad to have it removed later this month x

Hi, I have experienced all of these since getting the mirena but my mood lows seem to come in waves. I had quite a long period of feeling depressed after my lap when I had it inserted but even more recently I feel like I get severe PMS a week or so before my period with bad cramping and mood swings and il cry for no reason and feel really numb. If your depression and anxiety is a constant thing then I would look at other options as that's not worth it. I am considering removing mine as I don't feel like I've been myself and my partner has commented the same but it has made my periods lighter although still very long. Constipation I have had before the mirena too that I think is endo related but it has been a bit worse since my lap. Remember that hormones play a huge part in mood and also more links are showing with mental health so I would talk to your doctor. Wishing you feel better soon

Thank you for your help, I will probably look into getting it removed and choose a more suitable option for contraception x

Absolutely!!! I felt like someone else, was even having palpitations. I demanded it's removal in the end. Or I threatened to pull it out myself!!! After about two weeks post removal I felt more like me!

Some people have he symptoms but it calms down after 6 months.! Sadly mine didn't.
