I'd like a bit of advice / info - I have received a letter from my Gynae (BSGE) Specialist today to answer a few questions I had.... One thing that he has suggested in the interim until my Laparoscopy is having decapeptyl 3mg + Tibolione add-back.... In the past I had Zoladex which made me a rather depressive monster & now that I am married I really don't want to endure that again if the effects are the same!! Is there a difference between the 2?
He's also mentioned that on initial inspection of my MRI it looks like I may have some Endo within the muscle of the womb which he says could be Adenomyosis..... HELP!
Enjoy the sunshine x

Decapeptyl is different drug to zoladex but they're in the same family and do the same thing. I've had both decapeptyl and prostap, with and without HRT, and it was much easier to cope with the HRT addback. Did you have HRT when you had zoladex before? If you didn't you might find it makes it easier to manage the decapeptyl.
Thinking about it now, I had it both with and without, but all I remember is feeling wretched! Maybe I'll give it a go.. fingers crossed! Hopefully the lap won't be too far away anyway.
Just crossed my mind that I still have a coil in, so wondering how that would work?!
I know when I had decapeptyl last year I was given it with a mirena in place and was told it was fine. The mirena was taken out shortly after anyway because I had so much bleeding with it but they didn't seem too concerned about using both together.
