I don't know if this is because I'd had an allergic reaction to the anaesthetic or just purely because he was a urogynacologist and the next day my stomach was extremely flat and he told me he didn't move any organs around.

no they where more concerned about the reaction I had and transferred me to a different hospital it wasn't until the next day he said it looked okay and he didn't have to move any organs xx
They usually take pictures of your insides are you concerned the op wasn't very thorough? Perhaps you could ask if they took pictures and ask to see them if they did, this might put your mind at rest. I guess if the anaesthetic made you poorly it has to be there first priority to ensure your safety, so maybe that's why it was so quick. Have you had a post-op consultation you could ask more questions then, or see your GP who should receive a report. If you feel something was missed you can ask for a second opinion, but obviously previous issues with anaesthetic may cause some hesitation over repeating the procedure unless absolutely necessary. Good luck.
it was 3 years ago now, I had a scan a few months back which showed pelvic congestion syndrome so was sent to a gynae and it was only when she done a pelvic exam she said my womb was tilted and fixed, and she wanted to do another laparoscopy. I've had many ops since then, turns out I was allergic to the antisickness they put it before I woke so they think but all my others have been fine thank God xx
What anti sickness did they give you? I'm waiting for my laparoscopy, I'm well scared because I always have a reaction to the anaesthetic and usually the anti sickness makes me sick. All these horror stories are making me wonder whether it's actually worth going through the operation or not 😞 Xxxx
I went private, woke up in recovery felt fine went back to room, then before I knew it I was back in recovery and the surgeon and anaesthetist where called back from home🙈. my heart was doing 180 and apparently I was violently shaking and turning purple they put it down to cyclizine, but ever since I've always had super fast heart rate after other operations, I'm not nervous about it happening again I'm more scared of then finding nothing and looking like a liar xx
19 mins!? Wow .. I broke a world record .. My diagnostic lap was 5 mins long .. I was opened, shut up and put on priority list for major surgery. Can't believe you lot was in so long! That's not an exaggeration .. I woke up thinking I've been out hours but nurse is like no only 5 mins in theatre .. I thought oh must not have found anything but couldn't believe that with the symptoms I was getting. It was at a private hospital and too extensive to treat and my fallopian tube was causing a bowel obstruction! They wouldn't touch me
I also have a very rare form of Endo .. My first diagnosis was unknown PID.. I had PID which took 6 double courses of double courses of antibiotics to clear and tested negative to every STI going. It was when they opened me up they realised it was endometriosis causing this infection. Probably another reason they wouldnt risk my cyst bursting! Had stage 4 .. My NHS surgeon didn't really get a full picture and put me down for endo and adhesion removal (intermediate surgery), it turned into major during surgery. All my endo was very deep.
My laprascopy ended up taking 2 1/2 hours I had a large ovarian cyst which the surgeon decided best to remove while under anthestetic . My recovery was rather bad afterwards with a fair amount of blood . Xx
They found nothing wrong with my tubes though . I was hesitant to have the surgery done to begin with it scared me because I had done my research on it already . In recovery I had a huge panic attack x
