Hi all, just a curious question, has anyone here been diagnosed with endometriosis without having the actual laparoscopy to confirm it is endometriosis?
Diagnosis of endometriosis : Hi all, just a... - Endometriosis UK
Diagnosis of endometriosis
Without the laparoscopy they can't take a biopsy to confirm its endo.
I got told they reckoned I had it. But i had a laparoscopy to definitely diagnose it
I know of women in this group who say they have, however it's much better to be diagnosed through a laparoscopy. My hospital will not diagnose it any other way. They want to make sure that the medication they give us will help and is safe.
Hi hun, on Monday I saw a specialist (finally after YEARS of having these pains!) And she said she is 99% sure that it is endometriosis but she doesn't want to do the lap yet because I've recently had my gallbladder removed and an emergency c section so she doesn't want to put my tummy under more trauma just yet...so she is treating it like endometriosis until I can have the lap..I've started hormone treatment to see if this makes any difference. Hope you are OK x
As others have said it'll only be suspected endo. The lap is the only way to confirm whether it is or not.
Thanks all for your replies!
