Yes, me. Back in 2014. It worked well and I'm on a second course, lower dose now.

What would you like to know? 😊

I had it twice years ago .I think there is a link between roaccutane and bowel problems .this was a cancer drug in the 80s ,90s .has any one had a piece of bowel removed whos has taking roaccutane years before

I was put on roaccutane aged 31. When I was forced to stop taking the combined pill due to having migraine with aura (the risk of a stroke is too great post 30). My face erupted with acne. Roaccutane worked a treat for me. My first cycle was 50mg per day. I had two subsequent cycles of 5mg per day for longer. I don't think I suffered any adverse effects.

@Twilight_Sparkle My first round was 40mg a day for 3 months and I came off it as my face looked better but I was getting skin erosions on my right shoulder however it was still worth it as the residual effect of the drug was glowing skin and no acne until late 2016, so I'm back on 20mg a day to sort my jawline acne (which is not even visible face on but the scars are but I cover them with a light concealer).

It's an excellent treatment, but like with all drugs you are closely monitored, you can't be TTC and if you can't see the benefit immediately be patient as the residual effect once you stop taking it are amazing.

I was more teary than usual on the first round, this time around, no such side effects but I think generally I'm in a good place.

Also, while you're on it, avoid using skincare for oily spotty skin and instead use stuff for sensitive skin like La Roche Posay, as your skin will respond better to it, as the skin dries and heals.

Hope that helps :)

Yes I went on it when I was 20 over ten years later I was diagnosed with endo and pcos. Although it cleared my skin up its temporary because of hormonal conditions endo and pcos. I personally wouldn't ever go on it again it's not worth the side affects but everyone's different

I didn't know it was a cancer drug! I knew they had changed the name. when I took it they gave me a list of side affects I would get and a list I might get! I wouldn't personally go through taking it again. do your research, good luck xx
