Hi ladies, this might be a complete coincidence for me but does anyone else have worse endo pain after drinking alcohol? I dont normally drink because i get reflux but since i've been having a few drinks for christmas my pain is worse. If i have the odd one it seems ok but after i had a few on the christmas work do the pain is horrendoes. I know there are endo diets so foods can affect it but i wasnt sure about alcohol. xx

Endo and alcohol....?
I've not investigated but suspect it's on the naughty list. I really loved my red wine but weirdly since my lap have hardly fancied it at all.
Well not long after my lap i started getting pretty bad acid reflux which was set off my alcohol so i avoided it. The meds i've been on for it have helped quite a bit though so i've had the odd few nights of drinking recently and all of a sudden my lower back and hip burning pain has come back with a vengeance. I remember before my lap i seemed to be worse after drinking. If certain foods set it off i'm sure alcohol must be the same. I think i'll cut down for Christmas then try stopping completely after and see how it goes. Xx
Hey
Yes I find alcohol makes it worse, don't follow any diet but try to avoid red meat and coffee.
When alcohol ferments it tends to produce a lot of estrogen which can aggravate symptoms I'm having the same issue with soy sauce right now and I'm too young to drink but my grandmother cooked with it in a cake and it didn't all cook out and I felt gross.
Can you maybe have a few virgin drinks?
Or even only take a small amount is you want to drink some wine.

Alcohol is flammatory so it makes pain worse. Try a anti inflammatory diet., it will ease the pain... Ginger, turmeric . Avoid sugar too xx
Yep! Have given it up completed - wish I could do the same with sweet stuff 😉
Yes and my medication stops working so I bleed really heavy also x
😫 .... so I thought it was a coincidence I was in pain too after drinking. I'm not a big drinker so a part of me doesn't care but the other part hates that endo controls this too. I'm curled up in bed, waiting for my meds to kick in with one of those electric heat pads.
I have changed what I drink as red wine seems to cause me pain nowadays, but white seems ok.
