Endo recovery

I had diagnostic laparoscopy four weeks ago now and had endo lasered on my pouch of Douglas. My recovery was surprisingly short lived and I was back to work two weeks ago although in the past few days I've had quite bad stabbing sort of pains in my pelvis on either side. I've also been putting off my period for a week (I'm on Yasmin pill) because the hospital said my first period after the op could be particularly painful. Can anyone give my advice on this just because I'm unsure what to expect. Any general advice/warning would be great, thanks.
