2nd surgery

Hi, I had surgery in February 2016 in the hope that it would help me to conceive. 3 months after the severe pains started again. Roll on a few months and after a recent scan I have just been told that the Endo has grown back and I have two more cysts and therefore I've got to have further surgery. Is it normal that it's grown back so quickly? 😢

I didn't know they could tell if it's grown back so quickly using a scan. An operation is the only way to tell I thought.I had an operation 3 months ago and 2 weeks ago my pain started again with a vengeance. I'm avoiding the Gyno and trying to deal with the pain. Just can deal with all the tests again etc...

I think they can see signs but can only confirm by a lap.

It's a real problem. If you are off birth control etc and are trying to conceive it will come back. I've had two endo surgeries now, three if you count the one where my appendix was removed and they didn't touch the endo ( I was overseas and didn't realise they wouldn't treat it thoroughly).

I'm now on a table called visanne which is progesterone only and pain is a lot better. A low dose mini pill may help too or yasmin, I was pain free on yasmin back to back for several years but think it grew slowly in that time.

TTC and endo is a catch 22 situation but there are lots of us in the same boat.

Hope things improve for you. X
