Laparoscopy for Endometriosis

I am 23 years old, I have suffered with painful periods, pain during intercourse, IBS etc, etc. since I started my period 10 years ago!

I was finally referred for an ultrasound last year where they confirmed PCOS but informed me this would not be the cause of my pain, I was then referred to a gynaecologist who said I had all the symptoms of Endometriosis and I was told I needed a laparoscopy to confirm this.

3 weeks ago I had the laparoscopy, apparently I was spoken to in recovery which I do not remember, since then nobody has been able to tell me what was done / what was found, they have only told me no follow up was needed. I have not been able to see my GP and have an appointment booked for next week but I feel she is only going to fob me off as usual!

I am now starting my period and the excruciating pain is starting again so I feel I am at a loose end and a bit of a lost cause!

Has this happened to anyone else, can anyone give me an advice / let me know what happened next for them so I can ensure I am putting the necessary steps into action.
