Sheffield BSGE Centre still accredited?

Hello I've been referred to Sheffield who I thought were BSGE accredited but I can no longer find them on the database.

How do I find out whether they are still accredited? And if not why they have been removed? Thanks.

Where did you see that it was a BSGE centre? It rings a bell with me (perhaps on the EndoMetropolis map?)! But you're right, it's not an accredited centre. I'm local to Sheffield but traveling to Manchester for treatment.

I saw it when I searched back in May as I am in Lincoln.

I've just done another search but it wasn't there. It is there on the provisionally accredited database.

I saw the gynaecologist privately as the wait was 12 weeks. He was very knowledgable. I've now had an MRI and see him again on Tuesday. I just want to know I'm going to get good treatment coz was just left by my local gynae.

Ahh right, so they are going through the motions of becoming accredited. I wouldn't worry too much if you feel comfortable with the consultant that you saw? Have you been on EndoMetropolis (Facebook group)? You can name the specific surgeon on there to see if anyone has any experience? To be honest, I'd go with my own gut feeling. See what his plan following the MRI is?

My consultant is not at an accredited centre anymore (he moved to be at a teaching hospital instead). I just want my treatment doing with him regardless of where he is.

I will see what he says on Tuesday. I felt very happy when I saw him in July. Just to be acknowledged that something needed doing and not being left to carry on regardless was all I wanted!

I will have a look at EndoMetropolis.
