My daughter has had it 4 years after having her son so yes it is possible !!

Hello ladies suffering Endo.. Nurse Gladys Emanuel (open all hours) as a retired gynae theatre nurse can I say to you:- endo will cease During pregnancy, endo will cease at the menopause, in between your fertile years a good gyna surgeon will take you for a laparoscopy seek out the endo *it does grow in the most unusual places-once out of the uterus endo can spread like measles! BUT its not impossible to have it "shaved away" the surgeon will attach a shaving implement to the scope and eradicate as safely as possible .They normally eradicate it from inside the uterus from where it grows.

Sorry to say that some ladies never have a further problem but some its a couple of years going over the same procedure. However if you are willing to consider a Mirena I.U.D (please don't let people tell you its a coil its very different) this will supress your ovaries (like a phantom pregnancy) so no periods no bleeding, no bloating and no pains.. These devices need checking regularly to ensure they don't dislodge (you will be taught to do this yourself) and sometimes they have been know to fall out but you would know if that has happened.

There is no age limit to a Mirena, speak to your g.p for referral, some g.p,s can have this done at the local FP clinic, these little devices have been known to restore you Libido! speak to your Gynae for a laparoscopy investigation. It might not be endo, you might have fibroids or cysts inside/outside ovaries- also very painful!

Good luck ladies - I want to come back as a male species!!!!

I was diagnosed only recently (I'm 38) and I have a 12yo and an 8yo. Based on my symptoms, the consultant suspects that I have always had it but sadly it's just taken me an insane length of time to be diagnosed. So pregnancy didn't cure me.

Me neither! It makes me laugh when people say to get pregnant. I was diagnosed at 39. I have three children and it definitely halted my symptoms for a while. They started up again when my youngest was three. I was then misdiagnosed as having IBS. Which is such a common story. I am now going in for excision, 25 years after the pain first started! Rebecca, perhaps you always had it? Just something has triggered it? I've read recently that if is laid down at birth. Good luck on this journey, you have age on your side and there is a wealth of info out there.
