I started my birth control pills the beginning of this month and am almost finished with my first prescription of the packet. Almost two weeks ago I got my first period while taking the pills.. Is this normal with just starting birth control??

Yes, that can happen. It usually takes about three months for your body to adapt to the pill. I would give it another two months and if you don't see any improvement, try switching to another pill.
