I watched the video of Susan Sarandon and heard where when she got her diagnosis that they told her to go on birth control pills and other pills .

I'm not sure if she took that advise .

But I would rather a dr put me on continuous BC pills for a year or until I was ready for babies than have them go in with knives and start making a mess .

I'm wondering if any of you actually got and stayed better because of surgery .

Maybe I'm negative because I had had a few surgeries that made things worse every time .

I did not know what I now know .

Nobody has all the answers. There is no one size fits all here .

Nobody has yet discovered where and how endo starts and it's been decades .

I hope that research can get a handle on this but until it does it's up to every woman to get as much knowledge as she can .

Maybe you will not ever have endo. But someone you know will .

Someone will and it's so widespread that there is a risk that doctors will start seeing it as the normal .

It may not kill you but there will be times when you wish you were dead .

It's not ok to spend half your life in pain.

It's not all in your head.

It's in your reproductive organs plus surrounding organs .

It's not ok it's not normal .

I knew something was wrong months before it got bad I just knew .

And when the nurse said

" you know some women just have cramps every month.

It's normal for them .

I looked at her and sat up and told her " you do not know what you are talking about . I know what a normal cramp feels like . I'm not a baby .

What I'm feeling is nothing like a normal cramp there is something wrong .

Now get the dr so we can find out .
